COLLECTION VII
The series of mixed media paintings in Collection VII were created around the idea of walls, borders, fences that keep “others” out. People continue to migrate out of necessity away from droughts, flooding, and persecution. Keeping immigration to a minimum has been a major focus of conservative political agendas. Many of these collages are textured with corrugated cardboard that is reminiscent of the metal barrier walls erected on job sites. The series titled Mending Fences was initially featured at The Providence Art Club and Atelier Gallery in Newport, RI.
